I agree - of course my wife does occasionally drive it, and yes I worry.

My thought is: if you this worried to make a thread about it, then you will be worrying about it on your vacation. Then leave it at home. I had several trips ruined because I needed to keep on checking on my car.

I know what some people might say, it is just a car, but it is not just a car to some of us.

If it was me and you are not me, I would leave the car at home. I hate hate hate hate driving in AC and the parking garages are too steep. I also have a fear of parking garages.....I had a curb jump out in front of me after only having it two months.

No to valet. Does anybody remember the thread on here a couple months back? A member (valet) posted pics of someone's car he and his cohorts parked at a hotel/restaurant. There were pics of him and his buddies clammering around the car like a Hollywood photo op, popping the hood to take a look, etc., etc.. "I paid you to park the car, not to give it a thorough shake down and snoop around in every nook and cranny with your cronies.".

This was my wifes decision solely and not mine. She had a nice '07 4Runner, and downgraded to the Juke

I upgraded from an '08 Scion to this <------

I think I got the better end of the deal here

It's funny as I always go by the rule that a car is meant to be driven. Once I got this car though things are a bit different.
It sounds like the Juke would be the safer one to leave at home.

I would not valet any car, never mind something like a Camaro that is relatively large and isn't on anybody's list of cars having the best outward visibility. That's just asking for trouble where trouble is already pretty easy to find.

I'm a little over an hour outside of AC and used to get down there from time to time. Never had any issues with self-parking. Unless you go out of your way to park it all by itself away from every other car, it'll tend to become just another car in a darkish parking garage. Feel free to move it to a different level and spot once or twice a day if that'll make you feel better about leaving it unattended.

when I was in college my roomate was a valet for a busy condo building and the stories I heard would scare you . Till this day I never valet unless there is no option. He crashed a new Porsche 928 into the wall in the underground parking and caused 40k in damage. In a miracle he did not get fired. They never even told the owner who did it as to protect him from him as he was very PO'd . Insurance payed for everything. so-----take the juke!

I will never EVER valet any of my cars. I don't let people I trust, like my family, drive my car why would I let a complete stranger? I will go out of my way not to valet. If you want to bring it, I think as long as you park it and find a good spot you should be ok.

If you're going to worry about it and have an option to leave it home then why not?
