Pretty sure my wife's Equinox is rated at 32. We don't get that though, high 20's at best...

My guess is what the sticker will say with auto, of course probably higher in real world drives on interstates using cruise control.

Yet another reason why the 4th gens are awesome. I have full boltons,cam/gears and still pull 25-27mpg's. But I also live on the coast and we have zero hills so that helps. My last bolton/cam car with stock gears did 28mpg's while on power tour.

My 5.0 was rated at 26 or so on the highway.

I could see the A8 SS rated at 27-28 especially with cyl deactivation.

I drive 25 miles to work everyday that 60/40 highway / city driving.

My average was around 12-13 mostly.

With a paltry 182 HP 2.4 liter. Not much to write home about with that engine. But I know of people that do get 31/32 mpg in real world highway driving.

Sticker will include whichever transmission you get. It's powertrain dependant.

I love how I imagine you are driving to get 12-13.

Parents' Terrain averages 26 in mixed driving. I can get it to 30 MPG on the highway.

But not with a capability of 455hp. I was thinking trucks true suvs. My wife has a 2012 nissan pathfinder sv and gets close to about 16 mpg on average it seems for her. I have hyper miled it here in Florida and got 28 mpg. This has 4.0l v6 260hp and 285 ft lbs torque and weighs 4400lbs three row beast. If you are comparing 4cyl suv to v8 we are in different worlds is what I am trying to explain. Trucks and body on frame suvs rwd are not getting no where near 28 mpg consistently on hwy. Sure a Honda Ridgeline gets decent fuel mileage but no one considers these trucks. It is a minivan with a bed for most.

My wife absolutely hated that car, mostly the noise. I had Borla S-Types on it, and I made them sing every damn chance I could. Empty on ramp at 5AM? WOT. Empty highway stretch? WOT. I drove that car hard and I do miss that kind of fun.

I'll definitely be getting NPP though, noisy exhaust for me, quiet for Wifey. I learned that lesson!

Not really. It's a unibody crossover. Trucks are body-on-frame.

Best I think she's gotten on a tank was 27. But down here you drive 80 mph on the highway. If we lived in a state with lower speed limits I could see over 30 happening. Either way, it's her second one. She loves them and we've had zero issues with either.

Pretty sure NHTSA considers it a truck. Then again ... they thought the PT Cruiser was a truck too, so maybe they're not the best ones to go by.

It's a boring tall box. It's a truck...the terms SUV, CUV, etc are just lose words recently made up for describing different kinds of trucks. Quite frankly, I don't care what it is.
