Reasons to pick a 2016 SS over a C7
Pending a test drive of the Gen 6, I have my choice for a new car narrowed down to two: 2SS Camaro or Z51 Vette.
It's easy to get intoxicated with both of these cars. I don't need the back seat and I can swing the price difference, but my practical side sees the Camaro as a lot of car for the money. I'm looking for other reasons...some that I may not see...to pull the trigger on the Gen 6 and save my self some cash. That's where you guys come in. Please give me your thoughts. |

Sat in a C7 a couple weeks ago and decided that it's probably not for me. It's very low and feels tight.. Sports car feel, because sports car. I'd still love to own one though.

For as much credit as the c7 interior gets IMO the 2ss 16 Camaro interior looks way better.

How do you intend to use the car? Are you buying this year or would you wait to see the details on the 2017 ZL1? As nice as the Z51 is I might be tempted to wait and see if the supercharged ZL1 would come in around the same price. That would be a tough choice for me.

I looked at the C7 before buying my ZL1 and felt the same. C7 was tight, low and I needed to use my arm to roll out of the car. I can afford a C7 but prefer Camaro and its pony/muscle car vibe. Gen6 interior, etc has me wanting one... bad

I may track the car once a year or so, but it will be a pleasure car for some spirited driving and weekend trips, etc. Your response is the exact kind of opinions I am looking for so I can think outside of the box. I want to get it right. |

The 'muscle car vibe' intrigues me a little as well. Not quite as flashy as the Vette. A little more my style. |

(I love cars!)... Best decision is .. What fits your life style and needs...? Will you race it ..? Or a daily driver? |

Thanks for your opinion and also for your service to our great country. Semper Fi. It's going to be a tough decision, but it's hard to go wrong when it's between a Gen 6 and a C7. |
