Not following.. Difference between what? Auto is 8 speed across the board.

Auto has AFM enabled in the LT1, manual has the AFM hardware in the LT1 but AFM is disabled. Auto is an 8 speed, manual is a 6 with rev matching.

There's also an A8 on the 4 and 6, but it's not the 8L90. It is optional though.

Correct. SS is 8L90, T4 and V6 get the 8L45.

MX0 8 Speed Auto Trans w/ Remote Start (BTV) & Paddle Shift $1,495.00
**It does not differentiate between T4/V6/V8
I'm thinking this would be well worth it, provided it is not above and beyond a base auto trans increase (like the Gen5s had).

RPO was the same on Gen 5 and yet V6 ran the 6L50, SS ran the 6L80 and ZL1 ran the 6L90. Blanket RPO code if anything. They are different transmissions for T4/V6 (8L45 RPO code M5T) versus SS (8L90 RPO code M5U). Take a look at a build sheet for a Gen 5. My brother's SS for example, has MX0 on the sheet AND MYC for the transmission. MX0 identifying auto w/tapshift and MYC designating 6L80. A V6 Gen 5 would have both MX0 (auto w/tap) and MYB (6L50) on the build sheet.
