Loss of power upon punching it...
I have a problem I am trying to diagnose. Randomly when I punch it, the car accelerates for a fraction of a second then power suddenly drops off for a second or two, then it accelerates normally.
This has been increasing in frequency over the past couple months. At first I though it was the AFM or DOD. I bought a range device, but it still happens. There are no codes being thrown, and I don't know what could be the cause. It's almost like it is starving for gas, but it never happens unless I punch it. Any ideas?

Just curious but is the T/C light flashing when this happens?
Any mods on the car? Tuned?

Interested in this because my trailblazer SS used to do the same thing before I got rid of it. For the trailblazer I was also experiencing total electrical freakouts. Here's a video of what it did along with this (could be unrelated). Also, for what it's worth, people were telling me the underhood fuse box had a short, never got to replace it to see if it fixed it though.

Traction Control. Doing exactly what it's supposed to be doing.

I tried to get it to happen today, but it was rainy with little opportunity to punch it, and I never noticed any traction control light when it happens cause my eyes are on the road.
So I just realized this problem really manifest itself after changing from 21" P-Zero's to 20" Conti-Sport DSW's. (My bald front P-Zero's were sold out and unavailable this winter, so I bought new all weather tires and wheels). So thanks for all the replies, I believe we found the assignable cause... I was spoiled by the P-Zero's. Now I have to learn to drive without traction control and slippery tires.

May just be my 2010 but there is no traction control light that will appear when it is working properly. The only lights that come on are when the Stabilitrak is off / Competitive Mode engaged or all nannies are off.
