Radio Rattle?

Well, my 1st issue with my 2017, minor but really maddening.

Anything other than perfect surface roads, my 8" screen rattles, I can put light pressure on it and it stops.

I can play with it and its not loose but its not tight either, anyone else have this and if so how did you fix it.

I thought I could put some felt behind it, but there really is no where to hide anything to quiet it down, plus I was worried about heat?

Thoughts , opinions?

Thanks, Chris

Can you remove the trim and make sure it’s tight? I’m not sure how it mounts. My concern would be messing something up. If you can get it to easily make the noise, a trip to see the dealer may be the best move.

Mine does the same thing. I'm thinking of asking the dealership if they can fix it.

It's a easy fix with 1/8th inch foam tape.

Can someone post pictures of how they are able to fix this. I had shrugged it off, but at this point I am in the same boat as the OP. This rattle is driving me insane. Need to fix this rattle and the caps on the bottom of my doors that rattle from the door speakers.

If the foam tape works for the radio and someone can post where it needs to be installed I will be knocking them both out before taking my Camaro on it's first road trip (250 miles one way).

Fixed mine today with some foam tape.
I removed the trim piece from the bottom and removed the two bolts holding it in. Put the tape on top between the upper hooks.

Good info, have you driven it some to see if the rattle is gone? Thanks,

Yes, no more rattle.

rotohead was correct, just a little tape and it's good.

My dealership just put some thin foam tape under the head unit borders. Quite as can be now.

So where is everyone putting the tape? Is it as described by KS1Le where the bottom trim needs to be removed?
