1LE Engine/Exhaust Mod Advice

My daily driver 1LE will be coming out of warranty in a few months, so of course it's time to shop for some power upgrades. I'm looking to add about 50-80 hp and lb-ft at the rear wheels without ruining drive-ability, reliability or going into the poor house (would like to stay under $5K). Thinking a moderate Cam, LT Headers, etc. Not really thinking about forced induction.

Any recommendations from folks who have successfully lived with their mods? Thanks all!

You have already NPP, so scratch off "exhaust mod advice" from your title.

Of course you will need headers.

Staying out of poor house, and keeping drivability to OEM, then go with a Drop_In_Cam, and work your way up on paper as you calculate, or even in practice.

If you have more funds and/or wiggle room to play, and feel braver to go with more aggressiveness, you know...the extra $$$, that goes along with that(supporting mods for durabilities sake), then you can go with a 22x/23x with more lift even, but that will not be drop_in, and you are then looking at full swing, pump, chain, springs, etc, upgrades.
