Has anyone kept the Boston Acoustics Head unit and upgraded the speakers etc?

If so could you share which speakers etc. you have had installed?

I have tried several different door speakers and tweeters starting with infinity Kappas, then the lower end focal, then the JL C650 and the focal elite series. Since everyone's ear may like different, my opinion is the FOCAL elite series 165's ended up giving the best sound reproduction when comparing apples to apples. Yes I am using the stock oem mylink head end unit, but I would highly recommend you upgrading your amp first, you will actually notice a quality sound difference in your stock speakers and will definitely appreciate the extra power from an nicer amp to bring out the clarity and stereo separation in some higher end speakers.

Those are exactly the speakers I'm deciding between. I wish i could listen to all three before I pick which ones I want to install.
