Question Installing Illuminated door sills

Hey guys I got some illuminated doors sills a while back as a gift and I was wondering if you guys had any experience installing these and what you guys would recommend on the install, especially with the wiring.

I used a video on YouTube

Search "camaro door sills installation"

Should be the first video.

Little advice, have someone help you!

i installed a similar pair my self and the only problem i had was occasionally only one would work, but definitely an easy install to do. Just run the wire under the weatherstripping and up to the underside of the driver side dash, if your going to be t-tapping the door/dome light wire. Just be careful when putting the weatherstripping back into place, maybe have some tape or something on the wire to put less pressure on it.

Np!

I bought the same set... Like he said put a piece of electrical tape underneath the wires to protect them from splitting. Get a good quality t-tap to connect to the dome lighting - being upside down and connecting that was by far the hardest part

Yup I have the same ones and what I did was put a little bit of duct tape over the wiring where it crosses over the threshold to protect it from chafing.I used some of that aluminum duct tape for furnace ducts, it's super tough.Love the look of them!

agreed, upside down trying to get the t-tap together was extremely difficult.
