Im a marine tech with Mercury and this is a bad idea lol. Go ahead save a few bucks on gas and the things that break that you overlook Im sure will outweigh the fuel savings. If its not a flexfuel, which obviously it isn't you'll be playing with fire. I have seen 10% -15% ethanol having caused major issues and even residue problems.

That's cool and all, but I am willing to give up some HP to keep my fuel lines and everything else from getting corroded and then have to spend a decent chunk of change to fix it.

If you tailor your build specifically for corn it's amazing fuel. If your boosted you can run more boost and more timing. More compression and timing if NA. It's great stuff but you clearly don't have the resources or knowledge to play. If you have to ask and your car is stock find other ways to play. You will need to replace all lines hoses fittings pumps injectors to run E85. Yes your MPG drops. Without a great tuner that knows what he is doing you will fail.

It sucks as a fuel and is nothing more than a political tool. That's about all you need to know about it.

Simply put: The Camaro is not designed to run on E85. If you choose to do so, you will do damage to your Camaro. It will not be covered by warranty.
The fuel handling system is not set up to utilize E85. Don't do it.

All you need is upgraded fuel pump/injectors, and a great tuner. You can make ANY car run on e85, some may take more work than others, but it can be done.

E85 will increase power in a vehicle designed for it , look at the new 5.3 for a Silverado its rated at 355hp 388tq on gas and 383/416 on E85.

I would take a GM Executives word for it and run regular pump gas.
