Just gotta check in places other than the vs section. There's a lot of people there that give the camaro it's well deserved props. Like many here, that prefer camaro over mustang, I prefer mustang over camaro. Beauty will always be in the eyes of the beholder. These cars have come so far, that how can people say one is better than the other. Just get the one that you like, and smile away.

Actually the GT is 4 seconds slower than the 1LE ... that posted a time before repavement ...

You can expect a bigger gap then ...

The GT is a track failure.

But again, how many GT owners will track? That track-ready trend is really weird. So few people going to the track ...

It's however fun to see it being ugly AND slow

So much butthurt over there still. Claiming that it wasn't the PP. All they would have to do is read the article to find out the truth. According to them, GM sends ringers and Ford sends non track ready Mustang. "I don't understand why Ford would send a base Mustang to lightning lap. They don't care about magazine tests". Trololol.

I just can't believe the amount of lying, twisting of information, and excuse making that a certain group of people make.id never do that for a product I own. Enjoy it and be honest. Holy crap.

On the other hand, I do like seeing the worst case scenario reported. The loaded weights and performance. If Ford is in fact selling more loaded Premiums, don't you think that is what they should send?

I wasn't really interested in the Base GT's performance BUT, looking at the results now, I'm actually impressed. It's just as fast as the previous GT at VIR, maybe a little cheaper, looks a lot better and still has a $2000 Performance Pack to option.


Not bad for a volume car... the base is still probably beyond my current skill level.

I'd rather see a base GT350 run...
If it's not bad for a base car, then it's bad for a PP, right? Lolol. It's funny how this man can find any information he wants, but supposedly can't see that they were both optioned with PP in a published article.. Maybe he needs inside sources for that as well..

...Pretty sad....Their only hope is that it wasn't a GTPP....(but it was)....look at the VIR results and classifications....the GT(PP) was in a higher ranked class, and on a newer, faster paved track was 4 seconds slower than an older, lower ranked class 1LE that ran on the older, slower track surface...

...This is gonna be a tough one for them to spin....I almost feel sorry for them. The excuses and bashing of Camaro will reach a new all-time low over there....

Hopefully their GT-R will come out faster than at least one model of Camaro....

Those guys are so sad. Id be ashamed of my very existence, knowing how visible my distorting of reality, and lack of ability to accept failure, are. Because that is EXACTLY what the 6th Gen Mustang is(PP, or otherwise) a performance failure. This is just more proof. Its no longer a matter of "opinion".
