Super Chevy Update!!!

Alright Boys and Girls,

Here is the info, as you all may know Super Chevy changed it up a bit this year, however that is no reason to why we cannot have fun, therefore SCI is still attending. For those who this year will be their first time get ready to have a fun filled weekend with So Cal Camaro Invasion Style! Get ready for some old fashion drag racing followed by some “Brake Stop Challenge” and of course a Super Chevy auto show with all of our cars in it!! Many awards will be given out including SCI’s own in-club award ceremony which will be held June 7th in the evening at the host hotel! Here at SCI we will ensure you will have a blast along with our family!

Things to bring- Recommended
1. Plenty of water (dehydration prevention)
2. Light clothing
3. Snacks for the cruise
4. Walkie talkie (if you have them)
5. Sun screen (very well maybe 100+ f)
6. Sunglasses (sun may be intense)
7. Small first aid kit.(in case of injury)
8. Portable chairs
9. Canopies (event is in the open, limited shade)
10. Jeans if you are racing (no shorts, no sweats***)
11. DOT SNELL helmet if racing (M2005 or greater)
12. Go-Pro cameras or other portable device
13. Small cooler (if you do not plan to buy food at venue)
14. Anything else we may have forgotten to mention here!
Super Chevy Event @ Famoso Raceway June 7th-8th
The event cost has been reduced to $75.00 for the weekend this will include all events, however if you choose not to be involved you may only purchase certain categories, such as; Drag racing, Stop brake Challenge and Car Show. All these may be purchased upon arrival. Pre-registration will not be made available this year we will all register as a club upon arrival and may choose which event to participate on, we will be grouped together so it is important to arrive together. We would like to thank in advance all those who will be attending this year representing the Camaro community and all GM categories. Famoso Raceway has limited the event to a single track at Famoso, there will be NO SECONDARY TRACK. We do encourage competitiveness since this is a racetrack. Please be very responsible as to how you drive your vehicle. Allow enough cooling time in between runs for your vehicles better performance. Due take in mind this is an event open to the public therefore families and children will be present, be VERY careful while driving through the spectator’s road. Above all we encourage everyone to have a great time! It is a great event to meet new folks from all over!!

Cruise and Host Hotel Information-33559 Famoso Rd, McFarland, CA 93250
We will meet at the porter ranch town center located at 19929 Rinaldi St, Northridge, CA 91326 at 6:00 AM, we will depart at approximately 6:30 AM.
Route to Super Chevy
1. Merge on to 118 FWY East for 3.6 Miles
2. Exit Balboa Blvd and make left, cruise for 3.2 Miles
3. Make left on Foothill Blvd- 1.1 miles
4. Take I5 on ramp and merge left to Sacramento I5 North
5. Keep on I5 North for about 57.1 miles (will meet with SCI members in I5 and 138hwy junction)
6. Keep left to take exit CA-99N toward Bakersfield/Fresno- 37.1 miles
7. Take exit Paso Robles Hwy 46 and quickly merge right to Famoso Rd
8. Famoso rd cruise -4.1 miles
9. Arrive at 33559 Famoso Rd, McFarland, CA 93250 AKA Super Chevy
Cruise Rules-
We will have 3 lead cars and 1 rear lead car, cruise responsibly we are causing enough attention as it is having 15-20 Camaro’s of all different styles cruising together. Please use walkies to communicate, we depart together we arrive together. Keep safe driving distance, please drive at a reasonable speed do not do any unnecessary driving maneuver. Slower drivers please position in the rear speed limit from LA County to Kern County is from 65-70mph, we drive Camaro’s not geo metros (no disrespect). For change in order please radio it in so we may safely accommodate you, for any other emergencies such as rest stops or other inconveniences please radio it in. Please do feel free to have you co-pilot take as many pictures of the cruise, but please do allow enough memory space for the event!

Can I come with you guys to this? I live in Bakersfield and don't really have anyone to hang out with there. I won't be racing or anything, just going to shoe my support.
