I've no complaints on the cooling here in the Houston area too. But I have noticed lately that the fan seems to surge some. This is the 3rd summer I've had the car and haven't noticed it acting like that before. Is anyone else having the same issue?

there's your problem. if it needs "filled up" then your loosing it somewhere. a properly running systems should never need filled up.

I am sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your A/C. I have documented this concern into a database where many divisions of GM can access the information. Please let us know if you have any other questions or comments.

Very satisfied with mine. It will run you out of the car if you are a girly man who can't take the freezer like temperatures I like to maintain.

I am sorry to hear this! If you could please send me your VIN, I would be happy to check it for any open recalls or programs. Also, have you been able to get this addressed by your dealership? They should be able to diagnose this issue for you.

My 2010 ss has never worked properly. Brought it in several times, the dealer would always play deaf or clueless. Finally last year they claimed there was a tsb out to reprogram. But it did not work and I finally gave up. The car starts out cold but after 20 minutes the compressor starts whining and the air starts coming out muggy and slightly cooler than if I would just run the vent. Anyways, good luck but don't expect any miracles with your dealer. Learned my lesson, anytime I test drive, I make sure the ac can handle the humidity.

Yesterday after sitting out at a car show all day in the 95 degrees with humidity almost to match, I dragged what was left of myself over to my car and started it up and pegged the AC to the left....instant freezer worthy cold! I have said this 900 times, this is the best car I have ever owned!

It got to 106 in Oklahoma today, black car in the sun all day, black interior, windows cracked (as in, I had them down a bit, not that they cracked!) it took probably 5 minutes for it to get comfortably cool going home from work at 5, but I figure that's normal given the conditions.
