So I just picked up the OEM Black Tail lights and am wondering....does my car come with LED lights or do I have to pick some up?

ALSO

separately, if I go into Driving Mode and set Suspension, Engine Sound and Steering how I like, what does the main toggle switch acctually control at that point, if anything? If I drive around in "Track" (but still have everything set manually via the "Driving Mode" in setup, what does that do?

The car comes with LED on SS and RS models. The only non led in the tail lights are the reverse lights. But if you swap those will need an online resister to make them work properly. Phastek and Gen5DIY make the harness for this.

As for mode selector in your case it will adjust throttle response/mapping, shift points in automatics.

As my Tail lights are still in the box....do they come with LEDs in them already or do I have to move my stock ones over to the new black set?

Thanks too for the feedback re. setup. So if I have engine sound in "Track" but the main switch showing "S" for sport, I'll still get "track" sound but have shifting patterns and throttle response as per "sport"....do I have this right?

(lacking a bit on the knowledge department here...thanks for the help). I drive an automatic, 50th 2SS)

The OEM dark tail lamps don't come with bulbs. You use your existing bulbs on the car. The bulbs have a harness setup. Easy to swap (from videos I've seen).

Echorama, exactly! You've got it right in regards to how the mode selector works when used with manually selected options via the vehicle settings.

Hey - One thing has been bugging me about the car....I hate the sound it makes dropping to V4 and the delayed sound it makes in exhaust when in V4 and you step on it....there is a different sound as it moves from V4 to V8.....how can I turn off this function and have it only stay in V8?

Assuming you cannot just "turn it off" since I have checked thoroughly, I had a tuner on my RAM1500 and turned off the V4 drop technology....has anyone on here done similar and turned off AFM?

That's the active fuel management system on the V8 with automatic transmission, otherwise known as DOD (Displacement on Demand).

Can't turn it off without either tuning it out (voiding warranty) or using an ODB-II attachment such as the RangeAFM delete.

One of the reasons I traded in my gen 5, besides I did miss shifting!

I do highly recommend the Range AFM defeat. Typically for sale in forum members classified. That's where I bought and sold mine.

anyone on here use the Range AFM product for a 2017 camaro? I see lethal garage review didn't really like it for his 2016 as it triggered codes for him....perhaps they got it figured out for 2017? Anyone have any experience for 2017s?

I can't vouch for it, but never been a fan of ODB-II dongle devices (like that or those insurance trackers). I do know the device is upgradable so maybe a new firmware came out.

Hello all. I went back a few pages and saw I was mentioned so I thought I'd pop in to say hi. Today marks three weeks without my car. I'm beginning to miss it just a little. The dealer is working with GM to order a new torque converter now to address the issue that I was having (and several others from the looks of things on the forum).
