So i got the Adrenaline red interior package and the matching knew pads in my new Wild Cherry SS.

I like it, but the red is a little too... red? Going by the images on the GM Configurator site, the red was darker and looked better with the Wild Cherry. but in the flesh, its a little bright i think. Not horrible, but if i could tone it down a bit i might consider it.

anyway, has anyone tried having them re-dyed? just a little darker? thought id ask here before i go see the local upholstery guy.

Yeah they are color matched more to G7C Red Hot.

They'll probably darken a bit with dirt/grime from use, so there's that

The color renditions are never accurate; you should've tried to find actual photos. I would agree that the red interior in the Camaros is certainly a bright RED.

If the seats are kept clean or are cleaned, the color shouldn't really darken. Dirt, grime, skin oil, etc. would mask some of the brightness. Over time they could darken naturally, possibly, but you talking years upon years from now.

Yeah, that's why I skipped the red interior.

i didnt even think the red inerior was available with the wild cherry until reading your post. On the chevy onfigurator if you choose the exterior color first when you choose red interior it makes you change exterior to red hot. But then lets you go back to wild cherry while keeping the red interior.

I do like on some of the cars..it certainly doesn’t fit them all. I understand what the OP is saying about wanting it darker. It may clash a bit since the exterior is a dark red. I would whine a little and live with it. The red interior is still nice and you don’t see many of them. That and I wouldn’t want to make a big problem out of a little problem. My rule is don’t dig into things that could be left alone. I.e. leave nice seats alone, even if it’s not a preferred color.

The seats i think are actually fine. with the perforation in tehm for the vents, the seem darker. its the door panels\knee pads that clash a bit.

I agree its no worth a big fuss, but i think i am gonna talk to an upholster and see what they think. I might try to pick up a set of red kneed pads to test on.

The Adrenaline Red interior package looks really good. Adding the red seat belt and/or knee pads adds a lot more color than what is generally expected. Try finding a set of black knee pads to swap yours with and I'm guessing you'll like the results.

You can just have a upholstery shop recover them in black leather....Should be fairly reasonable.

More likely to find someone that HAS the black leather and wants the red, and would work out a trade. They just pop off...

Worst case, buy a set used and try 'em out. If the black ultimately looks better to the eye, either stash the red ones for when it gets sold (to have the original ones) or sell them off to offset the cost of buying the black ones.

All things considered, its not the worst thing that could've happened on the order.
