I don't think is was cold weather related either, however the fat tires very well may have.

I had a 2010 SS when the tires were really wore out (I was being cheap squeezing every mile out of them) it would follow any crack in the road. Then I traded in for the '14 ZL1, and it was fine, but few thousand miles later and worn tires it started slowly doing it again. I think tread depth really effects this. The 1LE from what I can see has little to no tread grooves so it would prob follow any line painted in the road.

PS it was 62 degrees outside and had driven the car for 15 min to warm the tires before getting on the freeway.
Track heat cycles no more than 20 and more like 16 for an aggressive driver, but at 62 they will be more slippery than when it is 80 (I like to state the obvious) .

Thanks Pete, have 12 heat cycles on them right now, so that is 480 mi on the track, and 3800Mi on DD, was hoping to get one more track day.

Help me out - since the topic came up...what exactly constitutes a "heat cycle"...one session on track?

What about daily driving? Does taking the tires from 75-85º ambient up to highway driving temps count?

I get this on all my cars with wide front tires and a worn out road. The car tries to pull the wheel out of your hands but on newer flat roads no issue. I've come to I know where all the bad roads and spots are around us and sometimes it's only a matter of staying in a certain lane. I've found around here the right lane is the worst.
