Does the HUD show turn by turn Apple maps navigation (without the nav package)

As the title states.
Does the HUD show turn by turn instructions when connected to Apple maps via Carplay? Assuming you do not have the NAV package installed.

Good question. It does from the in dash NAV. I'll have to give it a try next time I drive it. It may be a while due to weather.

Does your car have the NAV package installed?

Pretty sure the answer is no, nor would it show directions in the DIC.

You can see Apple maps on the dash even without the NAV package. I was interested in knowing if the HUD shows it...

No one would buy the factory NAV. I have heard OnStar directions will display on the HUD/DIC for those without factory NAV at least.

Agreed. But they force it on a lot of them. I got mine off the lot. Wouldn't have paid for it otherwise as its nothing compared to Google maps
