The Magnuson tunes are very good right out of the box there is little room for improvment on 91 octane as that is what they are calibrated for.

But on 93 octane there is more room.

We have one on our shop car and done a few for customers they do very well.

Ted.

Thank you for such a succinct answer. 91 Octane is still "pump gas" around here. 93 not so much...

I think this is a question everyone looking to purchase and even currently owning a Maggie with the "Provided Tune" wonders about.

I'm still shopping and researching... $7K is a big investment, the $400 canned tune included versus my local Dyno Shops $500 tune and runs are just one portion of that tabulation...

When you purchase your Magnacharger from JRE either alone or with other supporting mode JRE provides a FREE custom tune, you will need to add a wide band AFR gauge which we will sell to you with the supercharger along with a mounting solution.

The return on your investment is highest with JRE.

Thank you,

Ted.

My very first pass down the track was with a handheld Maggie tune. Went 10.91@129.88 and next day I took the slicks off and drover it to work and got 23 mpg. I think that's pretty respectable.
