New SS owner, looking for exhaust advice
Just pick up my new 2013 A6 today, as with many I am disappointed with the sound.
Anyway I have read and read and read but am still somewhat confused. I do not plan to tune my car anytime soon, and am looking for an exhaust that will add nice notes but not be overly crazy (I am coming from a V6 what had MRT 2.0). Most important to me is which exhaust will be impacted the least by AFM and have minimal drone. I think I've narrowed it to Solo or Corsa but would love opinions. |

Solo is good corsa is a not my cup of tea. Borla Atak sounds real good with stock manifolds and a cat of any kind...with longtubes it sounds bad

Love my Corsa. ZERO drone. And that's with headers and no cats. I don't hear a damn thing on the highway.....unless I want to

AFM noises and drone are 2 different things. My first mod was the corsa catback made for the L99. It comes with a resonator in the middle. Well it did not work as far as hiding the AFM noises. Corsa has no drone, but it made the AFM noises very noticeable. Too much for me. Some people don't mind it, but I could not stand it. If you notice the AFM noises with the stock system and it kind of bothers you. Well my advice is to leave the stock system on until you are ready to tune. Just my opinion from my experience.

Corsa. If you are not going to tune then AFM will be on and Corsa will keep it under control.

Cora's seems to be winning. I'm assuming it should be a cat back?

I did axle back, don't do that. The A6 resonator is killing a ton of sound, definitely go cat back. It costs more but you won't get all of the sound you want with the axle back. Looking at X-pipes now....
