Congratulations! Must feel great. Mine has less than $3K left to go, and will be finished in August. I'm looking forward to that.

Pay your cars off as soon as you can. I hate those interest payments!!

I was lucky when I bought my Camaro in 2010 at 65. I had a 2000 Avalanche moded heavy with only 11,000 miles on it never saw a snow flake and stored in the winter. I made the deal in less than a half hour.
I picked out the camaro I wanted. I told the dealer I wanted to keep my wheels off it or no deal. He drew up the papers I signed them. Was told to be back in the afternoon with a check for $5,000 and pick up my new car. Drove off the lot with no payment.

I don't know your country's tax structure, of course.
In the US it often doesn't make sense to pay off the mortgage. I make more interest on certificates of deposit then I pay in mortgage interest, plus the mortgage reduces my income tax burden and property tax burden. If you're paying off the mortgage but aren't maxing out your IRAs first, you're losing money each time you send in extra principal. |
