That speed engineering mid section is the way to go too. For the price you can't go wrong.
It really is a bang for the buck piece. Nice bends, perfect fitting, and a little added noise deleting the resonators.

DTC-30

I pretty much used up the factory pads this last weekend. Ordered up a set of DTC-30. I drive this car on the street so I was looking for a good combo street track pad and these seem like a good compromise. I run 60s in the dedicated track car

LT2 Manifold

This seems like an inexpensive no brainer. From what I’ve researched it seems to be useful within the RPM range I’m in the majority of the time while on the track. I ordered one up from GPI and it should be here this Saturday.

Borrowed dyno results. LT1 vs LT2 with 87mm TB. The Green is LT2 on ethanol. Perhaps that bump 43-4800 RPM could be smoothed out with a 91mm TB. One mod at a time though.

Sick shifter! Do you have the link to it? And does it involve opening up the transmission like the Hurst shifter?

No,you just need to remove the trim plate. it’s just an adapter but I like how it looks compared to others. The have their own shift knobs but I wanted something specific

LT1 to LT2 manifold

Swap complete and time to take her for a spin. I need to figure out to fit the sound deadening foam because those DI injectors and HPFP are loud. I also need to pickup a few things to tidy up the engine bay a bit.

Feels

It could be the placebo effect but the manifold does feel a little more grunty above 4500rpm which is where I spend a significant amount of time on the track.

Buying this car used with 17k on the clock, I assume the pads were factory. The DTC-30 brake pads much more appropriate for the ability of the car and a good compromise for track and street. Much improved initial bite and stopping power. A little bit squeal on the street but nothing unbearable and an acceptable trade off.

Wheel Nuts

Ditched the terrible GM wheel nuts that deform and get stuck in the socket. Replaced them with some forged steel wheel nuts. 14x1.5 46mm in length with a 60° taper. Works well with the deep lug holes on the ZL1 1LE wheel. The barrel of the wheel nut is threaded all the way through leaving room for a future project.
