does the ZL1 have the same NPP exhaust as the SS?
see title, I've already asked on the ZL1 forum but they don't deal with plebs like me.

I used to be Dragoneye...

The exhaust manifold is stainless steel, and I believe it features a "tri-y" design, similar to what they developed for the LT1. I think the diameter is bigger all the way back, but in essence...it's a similar system to the SS's NPP option.

Different part numbers at GM. Probably a different "Tune" on the inside of the muffler. I am assuming you are talking about cat-backs.

I think I can see where you are going with this Oldman. I would like to know what the discharge/outlet ID size is of the exhaust manifold.

Looks like the exact same exhaust as the SS.

I'm thinking the same thing Oldman. Considering shorties and a primary cat delete since I see no real advantage on the ZL1 exhaust system
Do you think moving the secondary O2 sensors to behind the secondary cats will work? Not sure if the freer flowing secondary cats will suffice to keep the secondary O2 sensors happy. |
