WHO CARES ABOUT 'RING TIMES?

Man, seriously... WTF is the fascination with ring times besides a topic to argue about on forums?

For the most part, everyone he is mostly concerned with straighline acceleration and speed. At this point, the GT500 just has more and weighs less.

Of course this was all planned by GM. They must of gotten wind of the release and planned this through. W/E, no biggie. Competition is a good thing.

'ring time is a joke. manufacturers publish them for the guys who never go to road course and bench racing is their means of "I win!"

Speak for yourself. The 'ring is one of THE BEST indicators of a cars overall performance. I didn't buy a dragster, I bought a sports car. If you're arguing that in order to be impressed by a car, all it has to do is make a good 1/4 mile time, that's you, but for most of the rest of us, there is a hell of a lot more to a car than that.

If the gt500 is priced the same as the zl1 then it's all over, but if it's more say 60k then u can buy a zl1 upgrade the blower and make about 750 hp, the bad part is it will still be a drivers race since the mustang is ligther and you will lose your warranty

I think that muscle cars are manly use for the dragstrip acceleration, this is mostly blue collered American culture
