What kind of car did you learn to drive in?
I learned on a 1971 Oldsmobile 98 Regency. A boat of a car, it got me used to being unable to see over the hood! It was a blast to take all my friends to the drive-in movies - and I mean ALL of my friends! If the car was smaller (had weighed less), I imagine that the big (455 cu in) V8 could've gotten me in a lot of trouble!

Gran Turismo, Driver, etc.
 The first 'real' vehicle I drove was my dad's old truck (don't remember what it was) when I was 13. It was a stickshift... and I did poorly. No power steering or power braking, so it was a lot of work just to drive. It was the only time I ever drove the truck, and I remember towards the end of the experience I passed our destination and my dad told me to do a u-turn to head back (we were out in the countryside with no traffic), but I ended up doing a full 360, pulled over to the side of the road, and switched places with my dad.  A few years later, I learned how to drive in my parents' Suburban, before finally purchasing my '95 Camaro  .

90 something Ford ranger with a manual trans.
It was my girls and she hadn't mastered the trans yet. She was pissed when I picked it up completely after stalling out twice. She had it for a month or 2 and still stalled it once in awhile |

I had to learn in my driving instructors ninetysomething Camry which was totally beat. It didnt have air conditioning (in AUGUST).
After that, I had my 98 to take me through the rest of high school.

61 bubble top impala, stick 6. Had a 58 pontiac 2 door sdn,370cid v8 3 speed stick before that but no license.
