Not normally a new-car guy, so maybe the answer to this is obvious:

If the battery won't hold a charge during the 3yr/36K period, is that covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty, or is the battery one of the excluded items?

It is my understanding that these charger/tender devices read the charge state of the battery and adjust the charge rate accordingly. How is the Optimate6 "charger & maintainer" vastly superior to, say, an NOCO Genius2?

I have, the yes response would have been with the year in it to get a feel if those YES above are from 2017's with 5 year old batteries or not.

"Bumper to bumper" is just that. Your battery is covered.

I had mine replaced right before the btb warranty was over.

Like OP got CTek 5A smart charger and use it regularly.

Everyone should check voltage, ime many modern cars won't keep the battery fully charged.

I'm still on my original in my 2017. 31k miles. Had to replace the starter however.

I was thinking a bigger alternator or something. It doesn't seem right to have to plug in your car every time you shut her down for the evening.

Much appreciate the feedback, hasn't been my experience but always good to have another brand in the back pocket.

I don't plug in mine and it's going strong. Never have plugged in any of my car batteries. 5 or more years has been what they have all lasted.
