Big decision. Mod out 2013 V6 or buy an SS in one year
I purchased a 2013 V6 due to my credit rating being less than stellar. Chevy informed me that if I make every payment on time in a year they can get me into an SS for a much lower APR. Should I Mod out the V6 or wait for the SS? Keep in mind I don't want to take a bath on the trade in.

SS. Then mod it. You will always want more power...upgrading to an SS is the first step

SS... You need FI to actually be faster.
Full bolt on V6 = mid (maybe low) 13s which will make you run relatively even, however (and this is only important to some) the V8 sounds WAY better. I owned both a 2012 LS and waited 1 year to trade in for my 2010 SS (credit situation, needed car since mine was totaled). Never did the thought of modding a V6 cross my mind. If you can COMFORTABLY afford an SS by all means it's the better platform to start with

Gotta love it when someone that sounds like they can barely afford the V6 comes rolling in, asking for inspiration to take a loss in the future on his brand new V6 so he can get the V8.
The American way. Sorry for being an ass, but I guess I'm just tired of seeing this same thread over and over.

Also I want to point out it depends on how much you put down, how much you are paying for interest and if you are going to go new/used.
I never could have traded a 2012 in for a new 2012/13 SS so I found a nice 2010. Also KMP he never said he could barely afford a V6... bad credit does not mean you can't afford the car, so don't be a jack ass. I was in a similar situation and my credit score jumped up ~70 points in 1 years time and allowed me to get my used SS at a lower APR then my 2012 that I had new

Yeah, that's what I was worried about. I'm a dealer in Las Vegas and tips are back to where they used to be. So I'm making really good money. How bad of a hit do you think I would take?

If I knew I was going to get a SS in a year or so, I would save my mod money to go towards a good down-payment (and getting a better finance rate). There is nothing you can do to the V6 (without spending big bucks) that will make it as ballsy as a V8, so just enjoy the V6 until you can get the V8. You can still have lots of fun in the V6 - I know... I started with one.

My loss was about the same trading V6 for V8 after 9 months. I paid cash for both vehicles, so that may have made a difference.
