Why people hate my Camaro

For more than 30 years I have been buying new, special autos. Never had a problem with people hating my autos until I starting driving a 2011 2LT. I seldom drive my Camaro, it is parked in an underground parking garage and I am friendly with people parking next to me.
However, in the last month, right rear fender received a 6-inch scratch above the wheel well! Not keyed but so deep I paid $495 to repaint. Two weeks ago, on the same passenger side fender I was dinged in two places. Happy to say a ding doctor came to me and fixed the two dings ($150) but one ding damaged the clear coat and I will need to address in the future. One week later, another ding on passenger side door.
I drive seldom, park at the end of the lot when I venture out.
Love my Camaro but perhaps Camaro hating people want to damage my car
Sorry for this post but just had to vent to people that understand my frustration.

Some people just hate. I was driving today in an area I don't normally drive - slow
curvy two lane road and some kid in a Honda POS flipped me off as we drove by.... ??

I hate when people do damage to a car that is not there own. Their car probably looks like crap.

came thru the gate earlier to get on base, the guard says "hey the guy in the guard shack told me to tell you your camaro's a piece of crap"
I sort of figured it was him talking shit, but when i looked at the only person in the guard shack i got the serious stank eye... wtf? twice thats happened to me, haha... my guess is jealousy...

I have gotten several dirty looks drivin my car and I have gotten several compliments. It's a win win situation. I even lost a friendship over my camaro I was called a bragging bitch by one of my friends I really don't care I like showing my Chevy around and everybody has respected it for me *knock on wood*. I even had a lady in a Jaguar down at Miller Park told me my window was open when I was outside tailgating. I had another stranger open my door for me so I wouldn't scratch it when I had my hands full It's nice to know some people respect it. I had it at the dealership over 25 times already. They always take care of it and make sure it doesn't get damaged ha!

It's jealousy. If you own a camaro you must be rich in these hard times. Park your car then sit in a window somewhere and watch it for a while if you can handle the stress. I guarantee you will see something you don't like.

I get the same thing in my Mustang GT. I love all nice cars. I'm not particular. I had some jackass in a WRX trying to get me to drag race him in a freakin school zone. I wanted to drag this kid out of the car and beat him.

The " you must be rich" has been brought up a few times, lol. They freak when I tell them the car was $4k cheaper then the truck I traded in on it, and it was a 1LT too, lol! This car has done nothing but save me money, from the $100 less a month payment, to the 8 mpg improvement. If anything, the car is making me richer, lol!
