A basically stock 5.0 vs a ls3 with long tubes and tires! How Is this a drivers race... Dude you better beat him, you have easy 12.6-12.5s! I ran 12.6s with headers on stock tires! I never had a problem beating stock 5.0s, he should be high 12s and you should have him easy if you can drive!

Having owned and raced both The SS camaro and the mustang 5.0 i'd say you better get a good launch and 60', if the mustang gets a good launch and keeps his engine in the sweet spot you wiil have a hard time catching him.

Kick his @ss ! You should then set up on a road course and watch him in your rear view mirror slide of the course trying to keep up with you

A friend of mine has a 5.0 with the same mods as this guy and I have the same mods as you OP. In the 1/4 I ran a 12.97 spinning off the line and every shift and he ran a 13.2 with a good launch. Granted I am L99 so I didn't have to shift. I also have ~400RWHP.

Iim in! I also know that those 5.0's are really fast, but the drag radials, tune, and long tubes should help out tremendously! Good luck and get it on video!!

I dont get it,with all his mods on his camaro he's pushing almost 500 crank hp.how could he loose?

Gearing and weight - there is more to speed than hp

Not many mustang owners will add a CAI without a tune since doing so is so cheap. This mustang should be mid to low 12s with a good driver. Furthermore, the OP is going to an 1/8 mile track.

my 5.0 runs 12.70 @ 113 bone stock. so dont base your opinions of the 5.0 based on what may have been a bad driver.
