Already did it. I had a 2011 2SS/RS Vert and loved it.
Then they announced the ZL1 Vert.

This thing is awesome. It's a totally different car. The mag ride and the smooth power.........

Id rather have the NA king of the road...the 2014 Z28 with the LS7. The ZL1 is a dope ride but I prefer a slightly lighter na version.

i toyed with the idea for a few months was hard to justify buying one with my modded 2010 ss. that still didnt stop me from setting foot on a showroom and test driving one. from the moment i turned the key to the test drive i knew it was meant to be. drove my black/black 13 zl1 home the following evening after work. i did test drive a 13 gt500 btw, definately wasnt for me even though it felt slightly faster. my next ride will be of the lamborghini variety.

You know I've been going over this same scenario in my mind for the last month or more. My biggest hurdle is I really really like Synergy Green and obviously we all know that is not available any longer. My color choice for a ZL1 would have to be Victory Red. I just love the Red/Black color contrast. If I had a VR 2011 SS and was trying to decide it would be a lot easier for me. But knowing that I could modify my 2011 to be a very fun and good looking ride and have the color I like most on a 5th gen makes it really hard for me to decide. I know the ZL1 has everything I would want in my 5th Gen from the factory...but it would not be Synergy Green.

I would say a ZL1 in my future but I'm not big on any of the current available colors except maybe IOM & CRT.

My answer is yes if I had the cash. To me the ZL1 is worth every penny.
And I'll keep my Camaro SS too.

love my SGM 1lt. I would love to add a ZL1 as a weekend toy. Have to win a lottery first though.

It is in our nature to want more, faster,better. Always.

I have a great SS now , am VERY satisfied , but I will look for more around every corner.
