Under the "technology" page, it mentions lane change alerts are available. I think this jibes with what somebody at GM said during the launch event — the car is technically capable of semi autonomous driving.

I know the new malibu will have lane change keep. It will keep you in the lanes.

So it's possible that the camaro will have this as an option as well.

I'm glad the lane change assist, and all that other driver assisting stuff is optional, I'd hate to have it standard and included in the price.

Since the LT1 has been mated with an 8-speed since the inception of the 8-speed, and the new V6 is mated with an 8-speed, I assumed there would have to be retooling to switch from the 6-speed to the 8-speed for the 2.0T on the assembly line.

We are talking about just a different bellhousing I would think. Wouldn't think that would take that long to retool but it's possible.
