Imagine pushing in on that and the rear sliding up and the front sliding down and into the slot to close.

Can any exhaust experts confirm that those are headers? Shorty, Long Tube or just a regular old exhaust manifold? Even factory shorties would be awesome.

Found this. Appear to be the stock manifolds.

Hard to tell from the teaser pic. I guess we'll know on April 20th. I like how they're doing these piece by piece teasers. I really don't want to see any more of the exterior though. They showed too much already in the other teaser with the Malibu.

Definitely looks like more of a full tubular header. The two visible tubes stay separated for much longer.

Suspension arm with speed holes?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but the engine sits lower in the Corvette so it would not be exactly the same and would explain a longer length in separation. They appear to be similar in the shape of the tubes so I'm pretty sure they will not be shorty headers. Corvette guys would be pissed if the Camaro had factory or optional headers.

Thing is the third tube looks to go straight down. You can see a faint line in the separation between the first two tubes. If the third tube goes straight down, there's no way it can meet up with the first two tubes until it makes its own turn towards the rear.

If you look at the joint between the tube and flange, you can see the tube is flared and there is a sharp junction. There is no radius like on the cast Corvette manifolds.

Doesn't the z/28 come with long tube headers? Maybe they will be a performance option?

No, they are tubular tri y shorty headers. They can't run long tubes due to the catalytic converters needed for emissions.

The 5.0 comes with standard tubular headers. There is no reason the LT1 couldn't either.
