The green SS gets lots of attention as I rumble by....especially from small children. There usually screaming and waiving!!!

The attention from kids is always my favorite.

It's like... it's always nice to hear that people like my car, but I bought it to please myself, not anyone else. But with kids... I remember how *I* reacted to hot cars as a kid. And seeing that lopsided grin on a kid's face as he stares at the car reminds me of growing up and all the reasons *I* love these cars myself.

I have to admit I get a little kick out of people staring..I have a Synergy Green Metallic '11 1LT converted into a Hotwheels Camaro. It's funny knowing the exact moment a kids mind is blown when they see the decals haha!

I remember when I was younger, gawking at all the cool cars and wanting to be the owner of whatever car I happened to be gawking at. And now, I am the owner of one of those cars

Today, while I was on my way to get gas, there was this fellow (mid 30's, I'd guess) walking down the street and when I drove by him, he stopped mid-walk and saluted me. Like soldier position and all. I just smiled and nodded. That was for sure a first

I've had my car 4 years now, and the car is defiantly not as bright and shiny as it once was, so the compliments have diminished. I still get the stairs, and people checking it out in traffic.

Sunday at the gas station, the wife and I were inside paying for gas and stuff, and the kids were in the back seat. Some older gentleman started walking around my car checking it out. When we went to leave, he came back over and asked what colour it was, and gave me the "beautiful car man". After we left, the kids said they were worried he was going to have sex with your car! lol

I have owned my SS for almost a year. I have have had countless people pull up at stoplights in traffic, roll down their dark-tinted windows (here in Houston, thats a baaaaad sign, usually means a drive-by or something), and give me thumbs-up... or take cellphone pics in traffic....

Neighbor kids have a lottery going amongst theirselves as to which one of em gets first shot at buying my car when I am ready to sell it (not making this up, seriously)... they have seen dozens of cars come and go from my driveway over the years, but this one has got their interest. They actually drop by riding bikes, telling me to 'take good care of it for them' .

I usually lose interest in cars in six months and start looking for the next toy... almost one year ownership for the SS and I am just getting started with the mods, and get more excited every day. PERMA-GRIN!!!
