I wish GM had the 1LE back in 2010 when I bought my SS! I spent 5 years and thousands of dollars to get it to perform as well as a 1LE on track! I sure hope the gen 6 has a 1LE option out of the box!

The rundown was that the 1LE was the best performer, they knocked it as a crappy DD because of the cheap interior and cabin visibility problems, problems the Mustang doesn't have (ITO). They also stated the Mustang looked better with the new styling (lol wut?).

If C&D is putting "beauty" before the "beast" I'll take the Beast. That and for a performance vehicle I've always felt a car needs sharp, angular and aggressive lines. Best quote I've heard about my car came from my cousin's boyfriend as we were playing a little cat and mouse on the highway in traffic(he has a BMW M3) "dude...it looks like your car wants to eat my car as you were bearing down on me." Yes...have some attitude have some aggressiveness and standout. Mustang GT...I'll pass....Mustang GT350...hmm...I might give it a look.

At least the new Motor Trend puts the them
1. Camaro SS 1LE (426 hp)
2. Mustang GT, PP (435 hp)
3. Challenger R/T (6.4, SP,485 hp)

Willow Springs Track Times
1. Camaro SS 1LE (1:22.81 sec)
2. Mustang GT PP (1:24.32 sec)
3. Challenger R/T (1:25.77 sec)

In other words, the 1LE tore them up on the track.

And down the 1/4 mile it was pretty close (12.6 Challenger, 12.8 Mustang, 12.9 Camaro SS)
I liked the comment about how the 1LE could handle another 100hp. That would be nice, but that's why GM built the Z28.

Another 100hp (z28 engine - 505hp) would be sweet.

It's definitely a track car and not a quarter mile car.

Can anyone tell me what everyone hates about the Camaro interior? The only thing I don't like is the somewhat poor visibility, but other than that I love the interior.

No Corinthian leather !!

Kidding aside, I too actually really like the interior and dash layout. And I can see fine out the front window.

I don't get it either! I really like it. It fits the car well.

Likes: Touch surfaces in Alcantara. Flat-bottom steering wheel. Lighting inside the door panels at night. Elbow rest in a comfortable location. Leather (2SS) and touch surfaces on dash seem to be of nice design and quality.

Dislikes: Center console gauge cluster looks cheap and is hard to see without moving head and body which makes it all but completely useless at the track, where you'd need it most. Doesn't help its cause that the same information is available on the DIC. Cup holders put in second worst location possible, first location would have been the foot wells.

Overall, I'm quite pleased with the interior and this is exactly what I want for my $40K.
