Thanks for all the continued support!

When you're choosing a Catch Can, be sure and choose one that has been around for years.

We have been doing this for a long time. Our internal 3-chamber design was designed, engineered, and tested for your specific engine.

Often imitated but never duplicated!

If they are so inspirational, why did they introduce a new design after using the same one for years that just so happens to resemble, mount, and use the exact same fittings as the Apex can 4 months after it came out?

I am not an engineer, but I can read.

On-Line Definition of Catch Can;

An oil catch can is used in turbo applications, or high-performance race applications where excessive blow-by (leakage past the piston rings) of air and fuel vapor occurs. This creates a positive pressure in the crankcase. Engine manufactures have placed a valve on the engine block which releases this pressure. This valve is known as a PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve. During engine operation, blow-by gases, as well as oil mist from the rotating components of the engine, pass through the PCV valve and are routed back into the intake for the engine to burn off. However, some of the oil mist and other products settle along the engine intake and over time form a "gunk." The oil catch can collects the oil mist and condenses the fuel vapors while allowing "cleaner" gases to be passed back into the intake. Typically the blow-by gasses are passed through a wire mesh, which give the vapor droplets something to adhere to. Since the oil catch cans condense the vapor portion of the gasses, they will need to be drained periodically of all the oil, fuel and other contaminants.

Based on the sentence in Bold, That would imply that the greater amout of mesh material/volume would provide the best filtration of the bad stuff.

Of all the ones pictured above, Apex appears to be the only one to have a larger filtration section than the others. The others appear to have a larger oil catch section, which provides no improvement in function.

I'm not making any conclusions, only observations.

For open discussion.

The E2 catch-can is simply 30% larger than the E1; it's the same design... Elite did make a ZL1 specific mount that is similar to the APEX mount but they had a very similar version for the V6 cars a few years prior; that is a little different than using the same effective internal design. The Apex can is almost a perfect copy. We've been using AN fitting upgrades for years as well as other end users so that is nothing new; Elite is just offering them directly now. Apex didn't engineer AN fittings but Elite engineered their internal baffle and filter system... The Elite can has been around for years not months....
