Michelin PSS, which version (not size) to choose?
Looking at getting 295/35R20 and 315/35R20 but there are so many versions.
See attached images highlighting the major differences. 3 choices for the front and 2 choices for the rear. What are people buying from the available choices? Some of these figures don't make sense, like tread width being wider than section width. I've seen a couple threads talking about rubbing, not sure if it is related to these different tread widths. I'd like the K2 rears just because of the extra tread depth. |

Check this out. Looks like the Ferrari spec tires are built a bit differently than the non Ferrari spec tires:

Which versions do you use? K1 or K2 for the rear? 105Y or 101Y for the front?

Correction to my original post:
I wanted maximum width, so I went with: K1 (105Y) on the front - 0.4" wider than the 101Y. K2 on the back - 1½" wider than the K1 and greater tread depth. However, I do get the occasional rub in the front (& back) on stock wheels & suspension. Next time, I will go with the K1 (101Y) front and K1 rear. I have the k1 105ys front and the K2 rears. No problems other than the tire guys wihining as they are wide. Grip is light years ahead of the F1gen2s. Not even close. 1 autocross to date and they did well. Me not so much. Both Ferrari spec.

Looks like I'll be going K1 105Y for the front and K2 for the rear. I'll risk the potential rubbing issues. so far 2014CamaroZL1 is the only one I've seen that has had issues with it, and it doesn't sound to be too major.

Sounds like a good setup. Did you need to change the camber setup or you using the factory alignment. Notice any handling changes or understeer? |

I just put these on although with 285's in the front. The rears are K2's the fronts don't have a K designation. No problems at all.

The tire guy told me the main difference was tread depth, the k2s have a little more tread.
