Does it cost anything to race?

So how was the event. I really wanted to go but something came up. I did the Impact a Hero 5k in the morning. I was proud of myself because I actually did the entire thing on crutches because of knee surgery on 4/22. The doc is probably gonna be mad at me but I figure if those individuals can go out there and lay it all on the line for us then I should be able to go out and do something for them. Anyway, a little later on my wife got a call that her uncle fell flat on his face. They said it was a heart attack. It was a big deal. They said he was literally gone for 50 min. They have to bring his temp down to 33 degrees for 48 hours and bring it back up slowly after that. Hopefully he pulls through without any major issues. Sorry I got off topic. Any one have any pics or videos to share?

Thank you for the kind words and prayers. As far as my wife's uncle is concerned, every time they try to bring him up to temp and bring him back around they end up getting a less than desirable reaction so they have to lower his temp and start back over again. For me, I have been out since June due to a motorcycle accident that the doctors said was a miracle that I lived through and another miracle that I did not end up paralyzed. Hopefully I can get back to work in 3 or 4 months. I will definitely try to go next year but I am not sure if I will show.

We had a great time, had the opportunity to ride in a Vietnam Era Huey with bullet holes that were patched, piloted by a real Vietnam Veteran. Was definitely a highlight...

That sounds awsome. They let you take pictures of your car with the planes?

Wow Smoke 'em, seems someone is looking out for yall! Well, here's to making a speedy recovery to both of yall!

The helicopter ride was amazing and a super awesome experience! I'm chick in the picture...

Yes with your registration they include a picture with a plane. They choose a different one each year. I got lucky in this shot because nobody was waiting for me to go line up for the car show. So I took a quick shot while I could.
