Agree; I really like the factory look of the color matched GM Guards! Out of curiosity, I've been looking for an install video of the GM front guards but can't seem to find one on YouTube (I believe it requires riveting them on). Can someone please verify if rivets are required and what the rivets are attaching to (I assume the fender liner)?

Thanks, Eric

I researched various older posts and found the front GM Splash Guard information that I was looking for. Ultimately, I ended up ordering the GM Splash Guards today from www.thatgmpartsguy.com at a pretty good discount off MSRP. When the car comes out of winter hibernation next spring, I'll have some fun installing them!

I was just about to order these on Friday night. Same Vendor as well. Had them in my "Cart", then realized they will not fit my car as I have the GM color matched side skirts........ I did e-mail ZL1 Add Ons, and they advised their fronts will fit. Still sitting on the fence.............

I've got the ZLI Addons guards on my 2018 SS Vert right now. Even though installation was somewhat tedious, I bought them because I had good luck with guards on my 2015 Z28. Nevertheless, I just ordered the GM painted ones from the GM Parts Guy for 196 bucks including shipping because of the factory fit and color match. Of course, I'll sell the Addons really cheap. Just PM me if you want em.

I have the GM set and am happy with how they look. Truth be told... No matter which ones you go with, the rocks will still find a way to ravage your paint in front of the back wheels. It's just the shape of the car and the way the wind moves over it. Plan on getting sand blasted!

I have the ZL1 Add Ons ones on my 1LE. Considering the fact that you have a 1LE, I would recommend the ZL1 Add Ons ones because they will provide greater protection. Remember that you have a 1LE with wider front tires that are also stickier than a regular SS, so you are going to have a lot more stuff that gets thrown at your quarter panels.

Even with the ZL1 Add Ons Deluxe Rock Guards, I still get stuff hitting the quarter panels. I have extra clear bra back there for added protection.

I was on the fence too; pulled the trigger on the GM pieces for the color match and factory look ... also the positive reviews from those folks that have them installed! Of course, I don't have side skirts on my car, so don't have the same dilemma that you do.

I received the GM Splash Guards this weekend. I opened the boxes to check them out; these look great! As many others have said, very high quality and the color match is perfect (I uncovered the rear of the car to hold in place; perfect match). These won't get installed until spring when the car comes out of winter hibernation, but I'm impressed with the parts!

The GM rock guards wouldn't work with the ACS side skirts. Here are a few pics showing the ZL1 Addons installed on my 1LE.
