What is odd is they only picked up a tenth with a drag pack only. Could it be that the 3.55 is too much gear without sticky tires and the 3.15 is just fine at stock power levels? The 1.87 60' they pulled stock is way better than any 3.55 car 60' we have seen I believe.

Love it! A bunch of less than stellar results come in and the Mustang guys don't respond, but when 1 or 2 reasonable results come in they start posting like madmen, lol.

I expect the fast list on the S550 to be similar to the 6th Gen camaro. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

And why does anyone throw flags up when someone has a track rental....as if it immediately voids the run? |

But all our times are private owner non track rental You are comparing that to track rental days with shops behind them. That’s going to produce results wouldn’t you say? 11.9 isn’t the top spot either. Only on this list. Some guys have gone 11.8 stock. The times of the 18 gt we speak of aren’t on a list either |

Like my car a lot of gain is from removal of TM. Its 60 ft improved. Another shop gained 20 rwhp from 93. Maybe that’s the definition of not much from Lund. It picked up some hp if it gained 3 mph trap I will say the GT has a trap advantage that’s for sure. But it doesn’t get out as hard |

Well...considering that car (in the grand scheme of things) is not exactly a drag vehicle anyway...I would hope they understood this before they purchased the thing.

I'm still not impressed at all with any of these times. Again, we've been over here doing it for a while now. I get it, it's new uncharted territory for the Mustang since it's been shitty for soo long. But it is yesterday's news for us.

LOL, 2 years ago people were buying bone stock SS Camaros, going to the track, and running low 12s to high 11s. A tire got them into the 11s. Further modding them and they were doing well into the mid 11s. GTs on the other hand needed FBOs, a torque converter on the autos, a tune, and a tire to get a low 12 or even into the high 11s. Now you got GTs with 3.15 gears that need DRs to run a 12.3 and the Mustang guys are impressed. Such a shame that being 2 years late and still being behind got them this excited.

They just went 11.33@123 with E85. That’s impressive AF. Though we have been 11.0 with E and ported stock manifold.
What track and DA? |

Maryland International. DA has been in the -600 range all morning from what I found.

As for prep goes, that can be hit or miss at any track. I’ve ran at several tracks that lay down VHT thick…and often, while others treat it like it’s Gold. Optimal results happen when a driver has experience. I have hot-lapped runs at some track and been easily able to get in 15-20 passes a night. With everyone throwing out the “but it’s on a rented track” flag….it’s starting to sound like you are making excuses. Hell, the first rented track flag that was thrown out was when LMR made 6 whole passes. The real question is, why didn’t any shops do this with the Gen6 camaro when it first came out? |
