Mine was built Jan 17. It was used in the Houston auto show in April. My first day with it was June 2nd. My build number is 0181992. So would that be number 992? It’s a m6 convertible.

Unfortunately with the 6th gens it doesn't really work that way. There are multiple car styles that come out of the plant so the Camaro numbering isn't sequential. We have more information on the early A10 cars.

Probably wishful thinking. Thank yoy
Hope you find out. I may have to do the same if you do.

Just email them at gmhc@gm.com that will give you a pretty close idea...how many yellows and the 60% of that...its gonna be a low number...under 100 for sure. 60?

I saw one of those black ones yesterday being filled up with gas by a dealership employee. Either someone bought it and they were preparing it for pick-up or it has been test driven a bunch. Either way, the guy filled the tank without shutting off the car, and then absolutely floored it out of the parking lot. Man it sounded great! So much for the break-in period....

I'm so surprised in fact, I'm wondering if that 's even true.... There wasn't enough information to determine how many white A-10's were produced... unless you use the mathematical ratios of manuals to autos and use the same percentages that were white. Using that math, only 22 white ZL1's with A-10 transmissions were produced...

That sound reasonable?
Just received another email from GM after questioning their numbers regarding the number of white ZL1's produced in 2017.

Their revised number indicates just over 500 white ones were produced. Their new number indicated just under 40 were painted Arctic blue. They didn't give me any additional info on colors.

This sounds a lot more plausible!

Yeah...with 3k produced & white being popular, I didn't buy that low #.

Despite Arctic Blue not being extremely popular it was a very beautiful color in person. Perhaps one of the most luxurious colors it looked very upscale. The type of color you would see on a nice sedan or SUV. Though I opted for a different color too anyone who bought that color has a great ride.

'I have been lead to believe you may be able to provide 2017 Camaro ZL1 production statistics.

I am the EXTREMELY proud owner of a:
2017 ZL1 Coupe, Hyper Blue Metallic, A10 Automatic Transmission, Carbon Fiber Hood, Sunroof, Performance Data Recorder, & Navigation
It is my daily driver.

I have read that there were 3,048 ZL1s made.
I have also read that 1,814 (of the 3,048) had the A10 transmission.
I have also read that it is estimated 409 (of the 3,048) were Hyper Blue Metallic.

Can / will you confirm the above?
Can / will you provide me with any other numbers allowing me to determine the rarity of my ZL1?
Please provide as much information as you can.'

& received a reply from his delegate Christo Datini (Lead Archivist) thanking me for contacting them. He confirmed my info was accurate and came from them. However, the production volumes they have do not allow them to cross-tabulate options and they cannot speak to the rarity of a vehicle with a greater level of specificity based on the options.

Having been a corporate database designer, programmer, and administrator in my unretired lifetime, I know how integral these details are to the bean counting executives, forecasters, & especially sales forces. I find it TRULY UNBELIEVABLE & SAD that they do not have these SIMPLE details, but can offer no reason or gain they have for not telling us.

In short: I see no further reason to email gmhc@gm.com & I doubt we will EVER gain this information...

Mine was built in 10/16, so it may be one of the first ones. Is there any way to find out the exact build number?

It is interesting to read the comments about how "sad", "disappointing", "upsetting", "embarrassing", [insert adjective here] people are about not having more information.

And then expressly and perfectly state the reasons without realizing it.

Ever think of how valuable it might be for a competitor to learn these details? It sucks for us curious types...but consider how foolish it would be to put everything out on the table....just saying.

Before release or after? Obviously they shouldnt release info prior to release but why not provide buyers with specific info after the years end? "You sir have 1 of 250 yellow 2017 zl1 A10s and are the 498th production ZL1 from the factory." What is the harm in that?
