Whoa dark side of the moon? don't get ahead of yourself there

I remember reading about your build. Looks like it's running strong! Still stock shortblock! Any other changes? Also what's the setup for the meth nozzles? One, dual? Sizes?

Killer setup.

What boost level? Since it was a 5th gear pull you are actually making around 730whp

Over 700 rwhp is impressive on stock internals. How much more are you planning on pushing the stock internals before you go forged? Others have suggested that 700 is about the max the stock internals can hold up to before you start to see problems.

Isn’t 5th fear the 1:1 gear ratio? Seems like any other gear would cause incorrect readings.

This shows 6th as 1:1

6th gear is 1:1 on the A8, but too much mph for dyno. Most will pull in 5th. Nice results!

Might be more like "Wish You Were Here" results though

Are you saying that dyno doesn't account for the gearing when it's not 1:1 ratio? On a stock car, rwhp reflects 390rwhp, rated at 455hp at the flywheel. That' is approximately a15% loss. If we apply that same calculation to Laynlo's car, he's running about 827hp at the crank. . .that's pretty sick.

I will have to spend some time looking at the math, but in theory, we should be able to take the RWHP in any gear and apply a factor to account for the gearing for the run and figure out real RWHP.
