Would You Buy a 6th Gen Rebodied To Look Like a 5th Gen

I know this is going to be a little controversial, but in light of the fact that companies have gone so far as to rebody the 6th gen to look like a Trans Am with some pretty dramatic changes, what would your reaction be if somebody offered a much more lightly modded 6th gen for sale that had a 5th gen front and rear? Maybe with all the flexibility offered by modern custom fabrication, it could be even closer to the style of the original Camaro Concept than even the 5th gen was.

Pros:
You would get the nicer interior and all technological improvements of the 6th gen yet with the very iconic styling of the concept car.

Cons:
You'd be paying a premium for what would essentially be an old design that would be within 80% similarity or so of thousands of much cheaper cars on the road.

Well I answered no, but to make it look more like the original concept would be pretty cool

No, I like the more athletic looks of the 6th gen over the bulkier 5th gen. The 2010-2013 5th gen does look good though and will be a classic car down the road, but I like my 6th gen the way it is.

Even if I liked the 5th gen looks better, I am the kind of person who likes things to look 'different then the rest'. Which is why I like the 6th better anyway - far fewer of them on the road. Ask this question in a few years when more and more Camaros are 6th gen, and I may change my mind.

I love how the fifth gen looked up until 2013. But I really do think the 6th gen looks fantastic as well. It's kind of a trick question though because the car obviously does look a little bit like the fifth gen. I think my answer would be I would have bought it either way I was just looking for a new Camaro. Anyway you can add that to the list would have bought it looking either way

Sorry I just reread it so I wasn't understanding that you're looking at it as if somebody's rebuilding it and selling it at a premium to look exactly like the fifth gen there's no way I would pay extra for that my answer is no.

Why would anyone do that? Just go buy a 5th gen. Trans Am is not available so that make over makes some sense as there is no other option.

Not a fan of the 10-13 body. I liked the 14-15 facelift but that is so similar looking to the 6th gen that there's little point in doing it. Also those gills on the rear fenders always bugged me.

Most people cannot tell the difference. I do like the looks of the 5th gen better. But I would not waste any of my $$ on a retro look. I would rather invest in speed. The SS does look great as it is and I get many compliments.

hahah this is funny. Why would anyone want their car to look like a 5th gen more than it already does?

if you're feeling that sad about not having gills on your car, i'm sure you can find something at pepboys to sticker on the sides.
