Camaro, Malibu, or Cruze?

Recently got a big promotion, which requires traveling up to 1000 miles a week. I am reimbursed for this, so it's not all out of pocket.
I have been driving my 11 SS the past couple of weeks, mainly because my 12 Silverado gets about half the fuel mileage as the Camaro.

I am shopping for a new vehicle now. I was all but set on a Cruze. It gets mid 30's on fuel, is cheap, and I can throw it away in a few years.

The Malibu is a bit bigger and more comfortable, and gets close to the same mileage. It's boring.

Then I thought about adding a 14 LS into the decision.
Fuel mileage is lower, but it's just as fun as my SS, on the freeway at least.
The resale will be better, even with 100K or so when I trade it.

I figure driving a V6 Camaro will cost about $100 more in fuel per month.

As cool as it would be to have 2 fifth gens, is it a bad idea for a long distance commuter? These are up to 5 hour trips a few times a week. I need something comfortable, and reasonably cost effective.
Weather will play a factor in the winter. Some of the areas I travel to get decent snow. It's almost all Interstate though.

Any thoughts?

If you're going to keep the SS I would just get a Cruze eco. Save as much money as you can.

the long trips could be brutal.. the ride is way stiffer as you already know. I would keep it as cheap as possible. I will say im not a fan of the other two cars, and yes ive test drove both. I wish you the best!

Get the Camaro. I will be doing this for my next DD. Your gas mileage will not be that noticeable. You can get 30 MPG easy with the Camaro. All season tires are available for these cars. I see people drive them in the snow up here. Cruise cool my friend!!

If you get reimbursed, what's the question? Get the Camaro.

My DD is a 2013 Cruze RS. It was cheap ($20,000), I average 37.5mpg, it has four doors, is spacious and the RS package looks sharp. Easy decision.

What did they say on the Cruze and Malibu forums? Probably Camaro, too.

Um, are you saying it has better build quality just because its German?
