For me the way my arm rests on the console the pistol grip is the way to go, Plus being a gun nut with some strange pistol grips, what can I say,
I put over 20,000 miles on this car since May and a lot in stop and go traffic.
We are very pleased to hear that you are enjoying the handle!

We appreciate the kind words! While the install may seem daunting, we believe that the end result is very worth it. Glad to hear you are also enjoying the improved shifts too.

Any chance we will see the ability to switch between stock and a ball?

I know I'm late to the party, but I like stealth setups. Closer to the stock look the better. At least let me use the factory knob.

I have had the pistol grip hurst short throw on for about a year now and it has been one of my favorite mods. Really makes a big difference.

I would love to see a billet t-handle for automatics. Would prefer it to match the interior aesthetic. Typically it is elbow on the pad and palm/wrist on the shifter. The t-handle in my 4th gen so long ago was by far my favorite shifter ever for cruising comfort.

As such, we have been working on an updated shifter that features a stick allowing re-use of the OEM knob. We currently have a prototype unit being sent out for anodizing that should be completed in the coming weeks. As we would like to get one in the hands of a fellow forum member, if anyone is interested in potentially testing and reviewing the new unit please shoot us a PM with your name, email address, and phone number.

Actually, I think 40% is too much of a reduction. I feel like that’s asking a lot from the synchros, mainly at high RPM. Have you guys experimented with something 20-25% in reductions?

It doesn't affect the syncros.

More ball options. The white ball is ok but it would be the first thing to go when I install this. Having different options of colors and finishes would allow a better customization for each individual. I think it was already suggested to team up with a ball manufacturer.

Indirectly it probably does, if your hand speed remains the same and the revs aren't matched any closer. Increased 'notchiness' probably isn't a good thing for them.

Exactly. It is a reason Ford changed their GT500 shifter throw so much between 2007 and 2014. That car has the TR6060, as well. I don’t have the numbers anymore, but from when the GT500 came out, until about 2011/12, Ford kept reducing the throw. Complaints of very notchy and missed high RPM shifts increased over the years. When the 2013/14 came out, the shifter was back to the 2007-ish throw. Around 2010/11/12, forget which, the throw was pretty close to a lot of aftermarket “short throw” shifters.

Part of the issue was the clutch, to which they finally changed for 2013/14, but, before that, it wasn’t changed beyond a slight clutch disc friction material change in like 2008. As the shifter throw decreased, complaints increased...

There is a point where you will ask the sunchros to speed match a gear quicker than their design will allow. Fact.
