The way i did it for the 2010 car is this way, we used the front turn signal, got some relays that work like this if you trigger them they stay on for a set time, 1 sec to 2 min, that way no need for power switch.

Time delay relay, another good idea. interesting.

There are so many options to doing this making a plug and play harness has to be tough. Each persons scenario is going to be different.
