Car and Driver Aug 2012 - Mustang vs. Camaro Convertible
Have you seen this cover yet?
I havent read the article, but the cover looks like they are calling the Mustang "good" and the Camaro "great"

They like the mustang better, but thats there opinion. I see a mustang on the road every 5 min. im driving it seems....the car does'nt stir my emotions like my Camaro does so whaterver some journalist says means little to me.

Was just a short comparison on the V6's. Talks about the 400 lb diff in weight, performance, etc. Hyping the fact that the Ford is smaller, lighter, and the "evolutionary refinement" regarding the new Mustangs interior. I'm biased, so it was mostly bla, bla, bla, for me.
Don't buy the issue for the article. There is a good write up on Mark Steilow's '69 Camaro tho. |

I personally could care less what magazines and other major media outlets like better. Most of their opinions are slanted by the all mighty dollars, the last thing they are going to do is tick off a major sponsor.
Its not just cars either, it is all products. I am looking for some new irons and I went to 4 different major web sites like golf digest etc. It was funny how every one of them had the same 5 set of irons in their top 5 and all 4 of the sites only had one club from each manufacturer in their list. Plus the reviews all had similar wording as if it had come directly from the marketing department from the manufacturer. I will stick with real world reviews that come from places that are not influenced by their advertisers. |

Well the Mustang is definately not made for a big person. I'm 6'1" about 275 and I felt like the ebrake was really crowding me. I tried a Camaro out the same day and it felt perfect and I don't know if the Mustang was sick but there was no way it would run with the Camaro I tried out. I'm not saying this from the seat of my pants I brought a gtech with me and the Mustang was a 13.4 and the Camaro a 12.9 I want to try another Mustang out because the one I tried out was weak.

Interesting that they put the Camaro in front in the pic. I guess they know what sells better and of course, they do want to sell magazines!
