My ONLY complaint with my SS!

Love the car and my return to American muscle after years of Euro tuners: Audi's and GTI's. But if I could have one change it would be to the digital dash. Rearrange it to have a big centered analog tach with a digital speedo inside and skip the old fashioned analog speedo altogether, like that in the C7 Vette dash. Other than that my SS rocks! BTW - really enjoy this forum.

How does the factory lowering and handling kit compare to stock?

I like one analog speedometer and one analog tach. Watching the needles is half the fun of driving a manual.

Not a fan of the digital dash but then again I'm not into smartwatches either.

You are making an LCD screen to replace a dial, but show an image of a dial on it anyway. The 3d texture of a real gauge looks better. Unless it's in the case of the ATS which just has an ugly cluster.

Agreed, I love the look of the analog speedometer and tachometer on my SS.

But to each their own lol

Quite an improvement in cornering and feel. It's the same components of the 1LE suspension BUT with non magnetic shocks. It sits lower, about an inch, for a better look (ie. fender/tire gap), but does ride stiffer like a race car. I wanted a 1LE with an A8 so I had to use the "parts bin" since the 1LE only comes with a manual.

Problem is while watching the tach I can't see the speedo to the right. At least I can configure the dash with a digital speedo in the middle, but having the tach and speedo in the same field of vision would be ideal.

If you learn your car you should be able to estimate your speed pretty accurately based on RPM and gear your in. Or I can guess pretty well based on engine sound and gear I'm in.

Gauges? We don't need no stinkin gauges!

Thanks for that feedback. Just so I'm clear, you got this combination of parts (mpp lowering suspension and the gmpp ss sc1 performance sway bar kit)?

http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=494423

On a side note, it looks like they are now offering that combination from the factory for '18 SS cars.

I did get mine from the "factory" on the build sheet but they are actually put on at the dealer upon delivery.

Is yours a '17 or '18 SS? I don't recall seeing that option on the Chevy site for the '17s.

Should have checked the box for the HUD option. Speedo, Tack, G-meter, and shift light all right there projected front and center of driving position.

Yes I forgot. The lowering kit WAS on the Chevy site and it was shipped in the trunk from the factory for dealer installation. The handling kit I got from GM Performance Catalog and had my local tuner shop install.
