I would love a 50th as well, but I'm a little scared after the 14 refresh.
That Blue would be a great choice. I just hope they have MAJOR advances in paint technology by then. |

I have a feeling thats exactly when they introduce the Z/28 in the 6th gen. I wouldnt be surprised if they limited the amount to 602 cars as that of '67. Who knows? Produce one that is 500+NA HP stripped out and I'll be getting one. I'd love the bumble bee stripe to come back and have it look as good as it did back then! The 5th gen it looks ok on them but its too pointed to have one.

....I think that's way off track, what sense would it make to make a Z28 next year and drop it without any lineage going forward, for no reason. Then, re-introduce it at a later point? No sense at all.

Boy does this topic take me back..... oh 12-13 years.
I always wanted a Corvette, and decided to wait until the 50th Anniversary to buy my dream car. All kinds of rumors of big power, redesigns, limited production.... afterall this is Chevrolet's flag ship.... And what did they do..... google it, I can't live through the let down agian. I did love my Corvette experience, went to the assembly plant and built the car, museum delivery... 50th caravan... great memories, but I did not pay $5000 for the 50th edition. My Electron Blue looked great, was built to MY spec and the badges still read 50th on them..

30th Corvette... LOL, didn't exist (no 83... Well there is 1) 50th Corvette... Last C5 60th Corvette... Last C6 25th Camaro... Last 3rd gen 35th Camaro... Last 4th gen 45th Camaro... bastard 50th Camaro... Think about it... 2014 mid cycle refresh. 2010-2017 is only a 8 model year design. Same or less than most. Plus the anniversary car is a good way to boost sales of a exiting body style. Last edited by Chubby; 06-11-2013 at 12:17 PM. |

I think at 50th Z/28 would be nice - as long as they have another 50th edition version that most people can actually afford.

Having two anniversary editions in the same gen makes no sense.

Ok. So you think cars should change every 5 years? Ok
The 55th and 60th Corvette would have been the same C6 but there wasn't one. They did the 45 bc the 5th gen is inundated with special editions and it sells cars. Slap on a stripe and a badge and ppl pay more. Time will tell but GM just retooled for the 2014. They're going to run it a few years. |

The 20th and 25th Anniversary Camaro's were both 3 gens.
