If you're having a shop do it, why not order the parts through the shop thats doing it?

And, you'll have to be a bit more specific...what exactly do you want done to your car? Did you order a cam kit? or literally just the cam? 1bolt or 3bolt cam? Are you doing bare minimums or upgrading while you're in there? What cam?

lol

What part #?? What are you looking to buy? If your looking for a complete kit, like cam,oil pump, rocker upgrade, pushrods and gaskets. I would think the boys @ Lethel could hook you up with everything U need.

I suggest link bar lifters. More expensive but no worries of them turning on you.

you can upgrade the trunion on those rockers. Comp cams makes a kit.

the trunion problems were on 2007 ls7's now everyone thinks they have to do trunion upgrades according to my installer.... Do the oil pump and timing chain thing if you really feel a need yet the stock ones are good for many miles. 7.425 pushrods a must for a ls3 and if your going to do the pump and timing chain get a ls2 dampener, and of course gasket kit, and good break in oil like BR30 from driven racing. And yes a valve spring kit in excess of the lift on the cam good enough to be no problem for a long time.

I would recommend anyone with springs rated for, or a cam over .600 lift to do the trunion upgrade. The stock trunions are weak and come apart. I had a couple fail that ultimately led to a failed lifter and cam. When just one trunion comes apart, the result is 66 tiny needle bearings that get washed down through the valve train. Then there is the metal fragments from the trunion that gets chewed up without the bearings in place.

They are easy to do in just a few hours and cheap insurance compared to the cost of letting them fail.
