What do I need for headers?
I currently have stock manifolds, with 3 inch pipes from manifolds to tips. I have slp loudmouth 1 - no mufflers with x pipe and stock cats. Any advice on what I need? I'm wanting headers (kooks, stainless works, or arh.) but don't know what else to order beside just the headers and high flow cats. Thanks

Should come with everything you need. Make sure to use GM gaskets or your OEM ones, also get the O2 extensions (not all companies include them) Also dont forget you'll need to get it tuned afterwards. The shop doing mine in a few weeks recommended I change to a SLP 160* thermostat and NGK TR6 plugs. Its controversial to change these but I trust the shops opinion on the subject. GL!

Headers and high flow cats are all you will need. The headers will come with O2 extensions. I would suggest Stainless Works. I love them!

Ok awesome! Thanks guys! I'm on a cheap budget and I found a set of used kooks for 700, but if I run across any of my options I listed used on a good budget then I'll take the plunge. So there is no need in changing my x pipe that's on the car now? Just headers, high flow cats, and extensions right?

Get new Stainless Power headers. Great headers and an even better price.

Is there much of a sound difference between the high dollar headers or cheap headers? It's all just quality huh?

No, no difference. The stainless power are visually identical to the more expensive stainless works headers. The pipes are bent in the USA, then are shipped to China to be welded. Stainless works still does visual quality checks on the stainless power headers. It's just pipe. Save the money and put it toward something else. I have zero issues with my sp headers. Quality is great.

As stated, they will bolt right up and should include everything needed. The only thing I recommend adding on is a new set of GM manifold gaskets.

Check out Texas Speed Performance. Thats what I just put on and the quality is excellent and you can't complain about the price.

Hey guys don't mean to steal the thread but I'm installing Lt kooks headers w HF cats. Would y'all recommend adding high temp silicon to the OEM header gaskets. I'm planning on using the original gaskets. I'm at 70k miles should I get new gaskets or will the originals be good enough
