I just got my SS last month and I didn't want holes either. It's actually quite easy. I used the front bracket that comes with the car and zip tied it on the grill of the car, using two zip ties. Took only five minutes to do.

I did one better just folded the plate so it fit in the lower grill. The state law say you can't cover up anything printed on the plate, so the lower 1.5 inches has nothing on it. A couple of toggle bolts, done.

Jacfab all the way! Pics in my album. I bought the "straight" one so I didn't have to bend my custom plates. And so I could also have a license plate frame to match the one on the back.

The OE license plate bracket installs in about 5 minutes and looks fine on the '14.

I used to have a couple cars that I left the front plate off but then my daughter had the year sticker stolen off of the front license of her '93 Escort while she was away. Within a week she had over $1000 in failure to display current tab tickets on her parked car. Every cop that passed the car just piled one on. Even though the back tab was current and her registration showed as current the law allows them to keep ticketing until the car owner complies.

Being away, the time passed to contest the tickets and it didn't take long before her license was revoked for unpaid tickets.

Its just a car, not defacing a work of art.

No front plate .. its in the glove box.. Ill take my chances on a ticket.. they look stupid on the front of contoured bumper cars... Just a Camaro? The car has beautiful lines.. why stick a plate on the front.. looks like a big fat billboard.. If you're going to get pulled.. you do it from the rear anyway?

Just stupid... Cant read my front anyway.. Ill be going too fast past you anyway...

they wouldn't pull you over for a front plate, but they'd probably add that ticket if you got pulled for something else.

VIRGINIA THREAD JACK ALERT

The front plate law was almost revised in 2012. Time to write your legislators and get this bill reintroduced. It's a dumb law and would even save taxpayers millions of dollars each year to only produce plates for the rear.

http://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp...e?121+ful+SB27

I'm not sure why a front plate is so important. Because if it was, ALL STATES would have them.

http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2...se-plates.html

Write your legislators. I did.

http://conview.state.va.us/whosmy.nsf/VGAMain?openform

One last comment. We all know this two plate law boils down to one thing. Money.

cheap alternative...$10 universal bracket from oreilys. Zip tie it to the lower grill. Put padding on the back of the license plate. Attach plate to bracket. No holes, no scratches, legal plate, and cheap.

ZL1Dan is right... I researched the issue for Nebraska yesterday... A bill was introduced to eliminate the requirement for the front plate in 2011. The senator that was pushing it cited the savings to the consumers, and savings of materials, etc. This was countered by another one that brought up how much money the state would lose by not being able to charge for two plates instead of one. The bill was tabled, never to be mentioned again!
So much for representing the people!
